Wow, lots of fun stuff going on here. Today is the first day of the Sailfish Tournament, it’s been a flurry of activity. Captain Phillipe and I really enjoy being in the midst of all this hustle and bustle.

And as a captain, part of my job is to also to look ahead.  The Pro Bowl is coming up Sunday, Jan. 31 at 7:30 PM ET, and will be held at Dolphin Stadium in South Florida.  We’re pretty darn excited about it as this is the first time the Pro Bowl will be played somewhere besides Honolulu since 1980.

Right after the Pro Bowl is the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 7.

The “Mayor’s Cup”, “Capt. Bob Lewis”, “Masters Tournament” are the others in the series, and it ends with the finals at the “Miami Billfish Tournament”.

Mercedes Benz of Coral Gables and Cutler Bay presents “The Sailfish Tournament” January 14 -17, 2010. The tournament is the first leg of the new Miami Open Billfish Series presented by Marlin Magazine. The entry fee is $2500.00 plus there will be added value categories for up to six anglers. 80% payout of entries. It begins at 6:30 PM on Thursday, Jan 14th and runs through 9PM on Sunday, the 17th. The Sailfish Tournament is one of the world’s first carbon neutral fishing tournaments, which helps to bring awareness to the climate challenges we are experiencing.
